N.I.P. collective, UK/NL/PT
N.I.P. is a distributed, interdisciplinary, mixed media research, touring and network space.
As an artist lead initiative, N.I.P. was established to explore and create opportunities for developing mixed media practices across the performing arts, engineering, visual art, music, computer science, sound art, installation and fine art.
The collective meet at certain times over the year, to share, co-develop and discuss ideas, participate in workshops, festivals and programmes, give talks and workshops, participate in residency programmes and perform live work and installations. The current focus within the group is on gesture and movement based interfaces, a theme which has also inspired the UM festival.
